Regarding “U.S. Details New Effort to Support Ailing Bees

In early May 2013, just days after the European Union banned the three most commonly used neonicotinoid pesticides on plants that attract honeybees, the Agriculture Department and the Environmental Protection Agency released a report on honeybee health. Dr. Eric Chivian, the Center's former director, writes that "neonicotinoids were barely mentioned in the report and appeared not at all in the executive summary, the part most people read."

Dr. Chivian warns us of the danger of neonicotinoid pesticides to the health of our pollinators, and, by extension, human health as well.
