Compare two weights and, optionally, see your progress toward a goal you choose. Your result Enter your measurements to see your results. Weight change = current weight − starting weight. Percentage change = change ÷ starting weight × 100. A decrease and an increase are reported neutrally. This calculator compares measurements; it does not decide whether a change or goal is appropriate for you. Optional goal progress = (current − starting weight) ÷ (goal − starting weight) × 100. It works for both gain and loss. Progress below 0% means movement away from the goal, and above 100% means passing it. A goal equal to starting weight has no percentage progress. The bar is limited to 0–100%; the text reports the full result. No target date is predicted. Your entries stay on this page. This tool does not send or save your measurements. Your weight change
How this works
Use this calculator to compare a starting weight with a current weight. It shows the amount gained or lost and expresses that change as a percentage of your starting weight. You can also enter an optional goal to see how far you have moved toward it.
Choose pounds or kilograms, enter your starting and current weights, and add a goal if you want a progress calculation. The tool supports both weight gain and weight loss.
For example, moving from 200 lb to 180 lb represents a decrease of 20 lb, or 10% of the starting weight. If the chosen goal is 160 lb, that same change represents 50% progress toward the goal.
The two percentages answer different questions: percentage weight change compares your current weight with where you started, while goal progress compares the change completed with the total change you selected.
Progress can fall below 0% when your weight moves away from the goal or exceed 100% when it passes the goal. If your goal equals your starting weight, a progress percentage cannot be calculated.
For more consistent comparisons, use the same scales in the same location, on a firm, level surface, and wear similar clothing each time.
The calculator compares measurements without deciding whether a change or goal is appropriate for you. It does not predict a completion date. Your entries are not saved by the tool; use Print results if you want to retain a copy.
